Software reuse has often been advocated as a way to increase developer productivity, reduce defect density and improve product quality. In our research, we are developing methods and tools that facilitate software reuse in Web application development. During this research, we have also developed novel methods for web application analysis and testing. We believe that these methods can considerably improve developer productivity, especially if integrated directly in the tools for web application development.
